OBJECTIVE:
• This project will help merge several different aspects of the Costume History program from both terms: researching, visual referencing, sketching, draping, creation and presentation.
OUTLINE:
• Select a musical of your choice.
• Provide fully realized costume sketches for 4 characters from your chosen musical
• Period: Punk styles of the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s.
• Your characters must represent at least 4 different styles of the Punk phenomenon.
• Each sketch must be matted or framed, appropriately detailed with character name, act and scene.
• Sketches should be on minimum 8 1/2 x 11 sketch paper.
• Please provide detailed small ‘thumb-nail’ sketches of any specific costume aspects which would define the character and the costume.
• Research: As part of your reference material, please provide pictures/images that show where you derived your inspiration for your characters.
• * Realize one of your sketches on a mini-mannequin. Pinning and hand sewing ok. Be as detailed as you can.
